1994 Yamaha XV1100 Virago
Summary:
Problem free motorcycle with a lot of polishing time invested for good looks (winter job)
Faults:
I had a flat tire twice by a puncture of a spike, no other problems at all, the concept is problem free; Yamaha should cure this tire problem (ha-ha/laughs)!
General Comments:
It runs like a sowing machine, is always reliable and very comfortable.
On long runs your right hand will tingle. I do not know a solution for that, can anyone advise me?
It's an everlasting problem free joy. Only the choice and condition of the right tires is important, I prefer Metzler ME 880. On worn tires it rides like a unwilling mule.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes

It occurred to me that installing a cruise control might relieve the right hand tingling.

I found I had problems with my wrists with the riding position, so I swapped out the original handlebars for 8 inch mini apes and problem solved :)

Another thing that might help are foam covers for the grips or new softer grips.

I have also heard that you can change the weights on the end of the grips to reduce vibration and ease the hand tingling thing.

For tingle in your hand (right), try one of these cheap cruise controls; easy to fit, and on motorways they are a godsend.
