1999 Honda CB750 Nighthawk
Summary:
Fun and safe bike to ride
Faults:
Tachometer went out at about 11k miles.
General Comments:
This bike, a CB750 Nighthawk, puts out high frequency handlebar vibration and will make your hands numb after about 3 or 4 hours on the highway. I hear a larger front sprocket or a smaller rear sprocket lowers the rpms and thus reduces the handlebar vibration issue.
The tech will go out at about 11 or 12 k miles. $440 for a new one from Honda and about $400 from a discount parts house. I will not replace it at those prices.
This bike is a keeper, I mean forever as I will never sell it.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
