1990 Honda GL1500 SE Gold Wing

Summary:

Best in Class "Two thumbs up"

Faults:

Other than the normal maintenance that is required on all bikes, I am pleased to say nothing has gone wrong with it. Certain brands of cycles are, or I should say, there will be a guaranteed amount of extra maintenance, but from my friends' experience, the Goldwing is one of the lowest maintenance bikes out there...

General Comments:

All I can say is TOTALLY AWESOME! Even at 25 years old, she looks and handles just as if she came off the assembly line yesterday. I weigh 174 pounds and I am in average physical condition, and I have absolutely no issues on handling or controlling this bike; oh and if you love cruising around S curves, this bike just loves them; I run the Dunlop E3s front and rear. It's smooth... period!

Fuel economy is great, for a 810 pound bike and with 350 pounds (my wife and I) on the bike, we average from 33 to 37 MPG. I honestly don't see going back to anything else. Thanks Honda...

1993 Honda GL1500 SE Gold Wing

Summary:

Top of the line. Best one I have ever ridden!

Faults:

Make sure you replace the grommets on the battery covers; they will blow off due to wearing after a couple of years. The covers cost $225.00 as opposed to spending $5 or $10 dollars now. I guess you would call them grommets. They hold the plate or so called dust covers on. Peace out.
