1996 Honda VF750C Magna

Summary:

The best Honda ever made

Faults:

None!!!!!

General Comments:

Nothing has gone wrong with this bike. I have beaten every Harley pulling up to me and left them way behind me. This is a powerful machine. It is running great with 18k miles and I would drive it cross country tomorrow.

I bought the bike in 2003 and sold it last year. I regretted selling it and called the owner and told them I wanted it back if they would sell it back to me and he agreed to. I picked it back up today. I love my Magna 750. I have over $3k in accessories on it, including forward pegs, exhaust, seat, bags, sissy bar, luggage rack -- the works.

They shouldn't have ever stopped making the Magna...

I owned a 96 Magna, and I agree that it is a great motorcycle. I spent as much money modifying mine as it cost to purchase it.

I got compliments on this bike all the time. It is a good blend of ability and style.

However, it might out run STOCK Harley's. This does not include the V-rod, which would entirely kick the Magna's rear end, period.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade (might be your first bike love affair for all I know) but you must not have raced many bikes.

1996 Honda VF750C Magna

Summary:

Dependable power that handles the twisties

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this bike in almost 10000 miles.

Could use a bigger gas tank, but after 100 miles I want to strech the legs anyway.

General Comments:

Bought the Magna with 1600 miles on it, and I have enjoyed adding 10000 in a year and a half.

It runs like a champ, with only my buddy's Vmax giving me problems in the 1/4 mile (low 12's).

I added a few tricks that makes it look good and run even better. I want to hang onto this bike for a long time.

The former bike I owned, the Kawi ZL600, was fun, but wasn't good on the long hauls (short wheelbase and too light). The Magna could use a seat, but it's WAY better than my Kawi seat. Rode the Magna 8 hours and it didn't tweak my butt much.

If you want a fast, dependable, corner hugger cruiser, this is the bike for you.

1994 Honda VF750C Magna

Summary:

This has been a great bike and I hope I never have to see it go!

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this motorcycle at all. I have owned it for the last 3 years and haven't had to do anything to it.

General Comments:

This is a great bike. I have only put about 2,000 miles on it - mostly to and from work, and a couple of short trips.

This bike handles very nicely even at higher speeds. I *accidentally* go over 100 mph all the time on it passing semi trucks and drivers that don't seem to be paying attention.

With its four cylinders, it accelerates very nicely with no degradation with a passenger on the back. It has plenty of power on the city streets. I can keep up with other motorcyclists very easy. However, my friend has a Valkyrie and it stomped all over me. I couldn't keep up with him off the line, but that bike is just big.

I added smaller sized windshield to keep most of the wind off of me. It is going to be mandatory now for every other bike I own. It came with a sissy bar already installed, which has been real nice for my wife.

The only maintenance I have done on it is keeping it clean and shiny, and changing the oil every summer to keep it running well.

Even in the middle of winter here in Missouri, the bike will start up within about 5 seconds of cranking. After it is running, it only takes about a minute before it is ready to run real smooth for you.

I only wish I had more time to run it. Since I have two kids now, it is getting harder and harder to find time to enjoy this bike. I just can't get rid of it yet though!
