2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic
Summary:
Great mid-range cruiser providing handling, distance, and low maintenance riding for many many miles
Faults:
Minor oil weep from oil sensor grommet. Repaired under the extended warranty at no cost.
Nothing else has been needed.
General Comments:
Most reliable of the five bikes I have owned over the years.
Typically gets 55 MPG, handles very well, better with the Michelin Commander II tires than the originals.
Aftermarket Mustang seat is comfortable for many hours on the road.
With the big tank (5.3 gallons) you can go 230+ miles before a warning light.
Lots of aftermarket farkles available.
Great riding value for the money.
Low seat height, which makes it easy for shorter riders to put their feet on the ground.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes

I know guys that are in a club with all Kawasaki Vulcan 750-800-900 bikes! These guys have been buying and owning and buying the same bikes again since the 1990's. They all agree Kawasaki ruined it when they replaced the 800 Vulcan with the 900 Vulcan, they say the 900 is not as good, as powerful, and Kawasaki cheapened it down with the 900.
