1976 BMW R90/6 from United States of America
Summary:
Timeless reliable classic
Faults:
Small leak at the transmission and condenser. That's it.
General Comments:
This bike was made for the shade tree mechanic. It's so easy to work on and runs just great. It's also a timeless classic that would be hard to lose money on.
It was my first bike and I rarely ride it because of my R1200C, I still can't let it go. It's simply a wonderful machine that I am hard pressed to find fault with.
Whenever I thought of BMW motorcycles, this bike was the one I pictured and still do.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree, the Moto Guzzi and Honda CB750 were (are) great bikes and are easy to work on, but comparing the CB750 to the R90/6 is a little apples/oranges. I had to remove the engine from the frame on my CB 750 to replace a valve cover gasket! One doesn't have such problems with the R90!

I just finished reading some general reviews about BMW R90/6's, and have to disagree with one comment that was somewhat universal in them. I find this bike harder to work on than the old Honda's and Moto Guzzi that I have had in the past.
