2003 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod from United States of America

Summary:

Classy cool ride

Faults:

Fuel pump tank plate went out at 600 miles.

General Comments:

So many mods I cannot list. But put it this way, my dealer always smiled when I came in!!

Fast enough, but handles & brakes like a old Buick next to my Buell XB12Scg.

A well tuned V-Max will out accelerate it even with my mods, pipes and my Power Commander. I know, I've owned six Max's.

The frame is a wonder compared to the ol' Max and you will never duplicate the sound of the V-4 with Super Trapps, but the V-Rod is a great looking bike (my 03 all aluminum) and a nice enough ride that I have kept it around for six years now!

2003 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod from United States of America

Summary:

One of Harley's best bikes of all time!

Faults:

One heat shrink hose clamp had to be replaced at the dealership during the bike's 1000 mile inspection. There was no loss of coolant and the dealership replaced the clamp because it showed some signs of weeping. There was no cost to me and I was not even aware of the problem, great dealership service department!

This bike has been taken on many road trips and in all kinds of weather without any problems at all! This has been the most reliable and trouble free motorcycle that I have owned, and I am looking forward to many more trouble free miles of fun!

General Comments:

Fantastic, fun, reliable and safe motorcycle. Lots of power and performance in a well laid out frame. This bike handles well and has enough power to please just about anyone, combined with safe and predictable handling.

At higher speeds, this bike acts like it is glued to the road and it is quite easy to peg the speedometer without even trying! This engine loves the higher RPM's, and will put a smile on you face anytime you feel the need!

Bro, it's got a radiator, you sure it's a Harley?

A metric Harley? With a radiator? Sure, why not! Let's see... It IS the 21st century. The die hards are going to have to allow Harley to compete with modern motorcycles; even if they do go kicking and screaming the entire way.
