1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade from United Kingdom

Summary:

Just a superb all round bike with excellent build quality

Faults:

Nothing to report as yet they are fairly bulletproof bikes, but I did have a 98 Fireblade and the cam chain tensioner went in my local supermarket car park, but it was a very easy fix, solid bikes.

General Comments:

Fast, comfortable and very easy to use and feel secure; the Foxeye Fireblade is the best looking and sorted of the early models.

I've got a Honda Fireblade Foxeye model or SC28 model as I think they are called, and I have also had a 98 Fireblade which was a custom bike, so I don't know if I can make a comparison between the two bikes, however I do prefer the older version of the bike for some reason?

But both bikes are well made and solid, so I can highly recommend them to you, and I've had some other bikes that I don't like as much such as a Yamaha R1 and Kawasaki Ninja 6, 7 and 9R bikes and an eclectic mix of 2 stroke bikes and 400 cc machines.

Just make sure you get a clean, low mileage and as unmolested bike as possible, and you will enjoy it for a long time to come. In my opinion the Fireblade is the best bike ever.

1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade from United Kingdom

Summary:

A classic bike that is increasing in value day by day. You would have to be stupid not to own one

Faults:

Nothing during my ownership. It's a Honda...

General Comments:

This is a much sought after motorcycle; a classic. Increasing in value month on month, year on year. It's the Vincent Black Shadow of its day; the bike that changed motorcycling forever.

The SC28 changed the world of motorcycling and won the hearts of many riders in its long production run. The best model to get is a SC28 from 1995 as it's a revision model with improvements on the first ones. The smooth engine being fed by a bank of 4 carburetors, tuned to fly down any road or track. Honda realised quite early on that the early models (pre 1995) had issues and quickly made the necessary changes. This made the bikes sell like hot cakes out of dealers' showrooms. Used in the IOM TT as a race bike, it won many trophies for riders and team owners.

1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade from United States of America

Faults:

Clutch cable became stiff at 20,000 miles.

Front wheel bearings were worn at 18,000 miles (time of purchase).

Headstock bearings were worn at 18,000 miles.

General Comments:

A real joy to ride, although uncomfortable in slow moving traffic (what would one expect from a sports bike?)

1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade from United Kingdom

Summary:

Awesome! A pleasure to ride

Faults:

The forks needed new seals and one spring.

New bottom yoke was needed, along with head races and wheel bearings.

General Comments:

This is an awesome bike! It handles beautifully, pulls like a train and causes me to grin like a cheshire cat.

I hadn't ridden for 8 months after crashing the GPZ. I bought this and then I did 3000 miles around Europe, and it's a very confidence inspiring bike.

I don't think I would be able to part with it. It's a joy to ride. The brakes are very forgiving too.

1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade from United Kingdom

Summary:

It's better than you will ever be..

Faults:

Cosmetics only - they build a fantastic machine like this and then save sixpence by using fairing bolts that rust!

Otherwise everything is good as new.

General Comments:

Even a mild tuning exercise (i.e. swapping the exhaust and jetting) can produce serious fun-power.

A bike that is still remarkably rapid and handles great, yet is comfy enough to hack the length of the country without suffering.

My Honda CBR900RR Fireblade 1995 was my worst nightmare and a waste of money, because in Lebanon where I live, nobody knows how to repair it, nor the Honda agency accepts to check and repair used bikes bought from another stores. (its problem is electrical : regulator-battery). Honda sport bikes are not popular and trusted in Lebanon for their complex ignition system, inaccessible and too expensive accessories. People here consider that only misguided and cheated guys buy a Honda sport bike in Lebanon.

Regulator / rectifiers fail on these bikes... Use a Yamaha R1 on them... non-fuel injected CHR900 only.
