2008 Honda CBX250 Twister from South Africa
Summary:
If you're like me and want a simple but good all around durable bike, get a CBX250
Faults:
In my experience with my particular CBX250, apart from it being a pretty sturdy bike, I found my gear shifting mechanism to be rather annoying at times.
What could be worse than whilst shifting in and out of gears you lose momentum just struggling around a floppy worn out shifter, barely keeping up on the freeway. Let alone pulling off from the traffic lights and the bike dies because you have not properly engaged the 1st gear on the take off.
One day I walked past another motorcycle and came up with a LIGHT BULB moment. Surprisingly I found a solution that solved my problem. I changed the mechanics on the shifter as opposed to replacing it, because I did not want to run into the same problem later down the road as the bike was ageing.
General Comments:
My CBX250 is great and I enjoy every moment on my bike; that's why I went through the trouble of getting it right.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
