2001 Honda LS125R from United Kingdom
Summary:
Rapid for its engine size
Faults:
Nothing.
General Comments:
LS 125 R. Quick 2-stroke (liquid cooled). Very quick with tuned pipe.
Possibly a bit noisy, but then 2-strokes are.
Cheap Thai import - worth the discount. Looks like CBR 125, more like NSR in reality.
Never had so much fun on a 125. Handles well and looks good (if a bit little).
Recommended for cheap fun on a smaller motorcycle.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes

I often thought the LS125R looked like the CBR125R. The CBR I consider to be the four-stroke version of the LS125R, which is also manufactured in Thailand. The CBR replaced the NSR125R and lacks the performance. The CBR looks hideous and from behind, one could be fooled into believing it is a moped until closer inspection, especially of the wheels is just enough to illustrate it is actually a motorbike.
Pity the NSR has been dropped and replaced by the CBR. At least the NSR looked the part and felt like a proper motorbike. The CBR is awful in appearance and I wonder if the build quality has been sacrificed for the Thai assembly line.
I most certainly, if I was a learner, or even if I had the money would not pay the £2600 list price for the CBR125R, but many people have, to my amazement. Long live the NSR!
