I own my Shadow Ace 1100 for 3 years now and it is a charm to ride with. I presently have to sell it because of a problem with my back.
But I recommend it to someone who is not sure about that bike. Mine has 83,000 km and I still just have to change oil and sparkplugs once a year.
I've done about 10,000km a year and it's never let me beside the road. It is just in great shape and shine. Other bikers that I've met thought it was a 2 thousand something, but it is a 1996.

My 1996 Ace 750 just turned over 30,000 miles. The only problem so far just started. Either my battery is bad or it's not getting charged by the bike. Not bad for a 14 year old bike.

I purchased my Honda Ace new in 96, and still have it now. It just turned 30,000 miles with no problems whatsoever, and have refused to sell it, with several people always bugging me to sell it to them.
I take better care of my Ace than I do my Harleys; in other words, I'm very attached to my Ace.
The color is two tone black and red, stock with the exception of the Vance and Hines pipes, but I've ran into a dilemma, and I might have to help my son out of some bills, and am acquiring his Fat Boy by paying off his loan, along with other bills he has, and selling my Ace will help a little. I am very reluctant to sell my baby, but as a father, I must help my son.
A guy at work has made a offer, one of many that's been bugging me for years to sell my Ace, and will take care of it.. I will always remember my Ace!!!

I also own a 1996 A.C.E. I've owned it about two years and truly love riding this bike. It does everything I need it to do, but sometimes I wish it had a few more CCs (1100 sometimes ain't enough :) ). But all in all it is a great bike. I'm planning on buying a bigger bike soon, but think that I will keep the A.C.E. because it is such a sweet handling bike.
