1983 Honda VT750C Shadow from United States of America
Summary:
Very fast for such an old bike
Faults:
I bought this bike from my best friend, who kept it in a garage the whole time he owned it. It never went out in the rain and it's never been washed with anything more than a damp towel.
This being said, the bike has been running flawless. I haven't had to do any repairs of any kind. Just regular maintenance.
I was told that all of the turn light assemblies have been replaced a couple of times, due to them just falling apart with age. We'll have to see how well they last when it's ridden more regularly.
General Comments:
I haven't ever gone full throttle in first or second. I'm not sure it'd stay on the road. The power is very strong throughout the gears, except 6th. When I'm passing on a 2 lane highway, I always drop it to 5th gear to have enough zip to get around. If you have an open stretch of road, 6th gear will get you going faster than you should want to go. So far it's only been 105 mph for me, and that's plenty.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
