1989 Kawasaki 454 LTD from United Kingdom

Summary:

I would like to own two

Faults:

Kept cutting out, although previous owner thought it was the carbs, it turned out to be the side stand kill switch, it just needed freeing off.

General Comments:

1989 Kawasaki 454 LTD from United States of America

Summary:

Super bike for the size, with plenty of power

Faults:

Previous owner dropped it and scraped it up on the right side. They also broke the front headlight mount; still looking for that since they no longer carry it through the factory.

General Comments:

I found the bike at a used car dealer locally. I took it home had to have the tank boiled out at a local radiator shop, then had the carbs worked on since the bike had sat for sometime.

After running the bike for a couple of weeks, I had to take it back in so they could rework the carbs, because the float was sticking. Been running like a top since.

I have and owned a 1989 Kawasaki 454LTD (EN450 A5) since first purchased in around June 1989.

I am the original owner, over the past 3 years I had my bike overhauled (sorta deep cleaned and serviced, and some OG components replaced with new components), this was initiated after a vandalism and theft attempt of the bike from underground parking.

The bike runs better now, just like new with over 35K km's on bike. Over the years due to circumstances I have had to have bike sit for 2-3 years at a time, but the engine continues to rumble back to life.
