2008 Linhai Aelous 300 from United States of America

Summary:

Surprisingly good

Faults:

Directional switch replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

This scooter is surprisingly reliable and economical.

I had low expectations, so that may be why it has impressed me so much. A constant 65 mpg with enough power to tackle short 70 mph jaunts on the free way.

Its consistent reliability starting and running gives me the confidence to take it on 4-500 mile trips far from home often.

One of the surprising aspects is the comfort and absence of riding fatigue experienced on previous motorcycles/scooters.

Handling is as expected on a scooter. Perhaps a bit better than my previous heavier Burgman 400.

Acceleration is adequate for entering any traffic situation, be it 2 lane or x-way.

Fit and finish shows its Chinese roots, but it's nothing I haven't been able to get used to.

Character is a kinder excuse.

Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
