2005 Vespa PX 150 from United States of America

Summary:

For an urban commuter, it's the greatest

Faults:

Nothing. It's new.

General Comments:

I finally got to ride the Vespa this weekend, even though it was 25 degrees outside. I went up and down my street a few times, and I felt like a kid again on my Lil Indian minibike. The acceleration was flawless, shifting and clutch feel were smooth and easy, and it felt very well balanced. What a blast. I can't wait for spring.

2005 Vespa PX 150 from United States of America

Summary:

It's a real scooter

Faults:

The shifter cable broke at 115 miles, was replaced under warranty.

The clutch cable broke at 1275 miles, was replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

Aside from the two broken cables, I am pleased with my PX 150. It offers the old-school scooter experience on a machine made completely from new parts, and having a warranty is a big plus.

It is engaging because it is so *mechanical*, like the Miata I had a few years ago.

2005 Vespa PX 150 from United States of America

Summary:

I want another one

Faults:

Leather seat strap falls apart easily. Other than that, this bike is butter.

General Comments:

I love it, it's a little slower than the Stella, but is a bike that has noticably better quality than the Stella.

2004 Vespa PX 150 from United States of America

Summary:

Cool

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

This little scooter is awesome. I own a Fatboy and wanted something small and nimble to play around with, so I bought a Vespa. The Vespa still runs tight, but once it is broken in, it will run as smooth as silk. This is no other PX150, I have a limited edition #84/500.

2005 Vespa PX 150 from Philippines

Faults:

Hard to start using the electric starter, needs to assisted by the choke and kick start in the morning.

Cracking sound on gear changes (probably I'm just new to a manual shifting Vespa, my former bike was a ET4).

Difficulty to shift to 1st gear especially from a complete stop in the traffic lights.

General Comments:

This scooter has a touch of heritage, and history with it, its classic retro look really attracts attention in this part of the world (Philippines). I acquired it new from Euromotors.

A head turner - the sounds of the Sixties in the 21st Century setting.
